In a private coaching session you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with Walker on various material. Walker will guide you to your inner artist and lead you to create an honest performance. Walker has coached many actors and prepared them for auditions for television, film, theatre, and musical theatre. So contact the studio if you need help with any type of audition material.
Initial Assessment
The initial placement coaching is an hour and a half one on one session with Walker where students will be taught acting technique as it pertains to theatre, film/tv, and musical theatre. The goals of the Assessment Coaching are:
- To introduce a common language between the student and teacher.
- To begin developing the student’s acting technique.
- To establish a shared understanding of the student’s goals as it pertains to acting as an art form and as a business.
- To place the student in a class level (if the student would like to continue with classes at WC Studios).
On-camera
All private coaching sessions are put on film so that the student can see what worked and what did not. The student will be emailed the file at the end of the session so he/she can use it to further their skills on their own.
Cold Reading
Hollywood is a cold reading town. When you’re given a script and five minutes to look it over, do you know what to do in that five minutes? Learn a specific technique to nail those auditions. You can be a great actor but if you do not know how to cold read well, you won’t get a chance to act because you won’t get past the audition.
College Prep
For anyone who wants to be accepted to a major performing arts university or conservatory. Students will find and prepare classical monologues (Shakespeare etc.) as well as multiple contemporary monologues. If auditioning for Musical Theatre programs, students will also work on acting their songs.
Audition Prep
Have the opportunity for Walker to prepare you for your TV/Film/Stage auditions. You will be filmed and coached so that you nail the audition with confidence and total preparation.
Acting the Song
Learn a specific technique for acting your musical theatre songs. Just singing your songs is just a concert. The “theatre” part of musical theatre is all about acting while singing.
Role Preparation
After you’ve booked your job, have Walker walk you through the script and help you prepare you to nail the part and received great reviews!

Cancellation Policies
- If a student misses a class he/she is entitled to a free ½ hour private coaching within one week of the missed class.
- If you have made a deposit for a workshop you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance or else you will not be refunded your deposit.
